Richard's Tuesday Tip: Daubers
APR 18

Hello everyone, Richard here.

I was so excited to share our new Dauber Dowels and Pads with you when we launched the new Spring into Summer Trends Mini Catalog. Today we are going to create with them. This is a card I demonstrated during my RG Presents: Spring into Summer event. It was so much fun, I have to share it with you all as well.

You’ll need the following supplies: BBQ Bash Stamp Set SS-0435| Bucket List Stamp Set SS-0434| Dauber Dowel LG TO-0138| Dauber Pads Large TO-0140| Deco Strips- Red AC-0284| Journey Circle Die DI-0039| Clear Pigment Ink Pad IP-0102| Journey White Embossing Powder| Black Licorice Ink Pad IP-0041| Lemon Drop Ink Pad| Citrus Cooler Ink Pad| Beach Breeze Ink Pad| Candy Apple Ink Pad| Limeade Splash Ink Pad| Whip Cream Cardstock CS-0040| Black Licorice Cardstock CS-0003| Cranberry Bliss Cardstock| Journey Sparkle Cuts| Journey Glaze| Punch Handle TO-0031| Circle Punch 1.5” TO-0015|

Step 1: Grab the Punch Handle and the 1.5” Circle Punch. Punch out a few circles from a Whip Cream Cardstock panel to create a mask.

Step 2: Using a second cardstock panel, create a background pattern with the grill lid stamp from the new BBQ Bash Stamp Set. Alternate the images, so the lids face different ways each time.

Step 3: Grab a Dauber Dowel LG. Ink one Dauber sponge in Citrus Cooler, one sponge in Lemon Drop, one sponge in Beach Breeze, one sponge in Limeade Splash, and one in Candy Apple. Remember – you don’t want to mix colors on your sponges. Once you ink it with one color, you’ll want to always use the same color. Take your mask and put it over your stamped cardstock panel. Use the Dauber to color in the lids alternating colors.

Step 4: Finish assembling your project.

Enjoy the Journey,

Richard Garay
